Learning Visit in Bangladesh by The Government of Somalia and UNDP Somalia 

On 11th November 2021, the Federal Republic of Somalia launched the National Intelligence for Skills, Education, Employment & Entrepreneurship (NISE) platform on the sidelines of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2021 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. After the launch of NISE, a highly profiled delegation team consisting of 6 members from the Somalia Government and UNDP Somalia had a learning visit workshop for five days from 12th to 15th November 2021, seeking to have in-depth knowledge about different IT-based innovative services developed by a2i. The delegation team was led by H.E Abdi Sheikh Ahmed, Minister, Ministry of Communication and Technology, Somalia. They have visited a2i IT-based initiatives namely National Portal, Civil Service 2041, myGov, 4IR-based future Skills, ek-Pay, FoW Lab, e-Commerce, Muktopath Connect and e-Learning, eGov Planning for Somalia, Empathy training and public service digitalization support through DSDL. They showed eminent interest in ekShop, Muktopath Connect, e-learning, e-gov planning for Somalia, and Empathy Training and asked for advisory and technical support from a2i to replicate them in their countries.
